However, another meeting will be conducted by the screening committee where the final selection of the candidates will take place.

The Central Election Committee will meet under the chairmanship of Congress Working President Sonia Gandhi in which the candidates will be announced.

Singh further said that the good and strong candidates should get a first chance to contest there.

The question persists whether Congress and JMM will have an alliance or not.

Sources revealed that Congress wants its senior leaders to contest in Vishrampur, Ghatshila, Sisai, Pakur, Mahagama, Jagannathpur and Gandey assembly seats but JMM is claiming those seats for their candidates.

However, RPN Singh said that efforts have been made towards JMM, Congress, Left parties and RJD fought elections in the Grand Alliance.

He further said that how many parties will be there in the Grand Alliance and who will contest from how many seats will be announced at the appropriate time.

It remains to be seen whether the Congress surrenders in front of JMM or being the oldest party of the country show its impact upon JMM.

If everything goes well then it will be JMM 45, Congress can contest 30, Left 4, RJD 2 seats in the Jharkhand Mahagathbandhan.
