New Delhi: The Central government on Thursday has notified the appointments of five advocates as additional judges of Karnataka high court but there was no word on three other names recommended by the collegium.
A total of 8 names were recommended by the collegium on October 3 but the Central government has cleared only five names.
As per the notification issued by the centre, Neranahalli Srinivasan Sanjay Gowda, Jyoti Mulimani, Nataraj Rangaswamy, Hemant Chandangoudar, Pradeep Singh Yerur have been appointed as additional judges of the Karnataka high court.
They will hold the position for a period of two years with the effect from the date they assume charge of their respective offices.
