New Delhi: The BJP plans to celebrate Constitution Day, which falls on November 26, for ten days across the country. This year, it would be the 70th Constitution Day as the Constituent Assembly of India adopted it on November 26, 1949.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is to address joint session of Parliament on the day and Union Home Minister Amit Shah has asked officials concerned in all states to make arrangements for people to be able to see Modi speaking on the occasion, party sources said.
Shah has also asked them to involve party workers and common people in large numbers in the programmes that would be organised to celebrate the Constitution Day also known as 'Samvidhan Divas'.
The BJP has also issued a circular to all its district in-charges to involve experienced people of the areas in discussions and they should be informed about all government schemes and how democratic values were being strengthened during the BJP-led NDA government.
The circular also wants the party in-charges and workers to let people understand how Prime Minister Narendra Modi was working and how the country was doing under the particular regime.
