Motihari: With just three days left for Bihar to slate for assembly elections, political leaders are visiting their respective constituencies to ask for votes.
Bihar's Art Culture and Youth Department Minister Pramod Kumar, a BJP MLA, received a rude welcome when he went to Motihari for the election campaign. Kumar, who is a minister in the JD(U)'s cabinet, had to face people's ire when he visited his constituency to appeal to people to vote him.
People of Chhatauni surrounded the minister and bombarded him with questions related to the developmental work done by him during his tenure. Pramod Kumar is a sitting MLA from Motihari. Kumar had to face the wrath of people as locals posed a set of questions to him.
"What about the potholes on the road, water-logging during extreme rainfall and the contamination in the area," people asked.
Responding to people's question, Pramod Kumar said, "A tender has been invited to repair the road." But the locals were not convinced. And when the lawmaker tried to leave the place in a hurry, people forced him to walk on the damaged and water-logged roads to make him experience their own pain.

Since 2005, Pramod Kumar has been representing Motihari Sadar Assembly seat in Vidhan Sabha. He had won his first assembly on the BJP ticket in 2005. Thereafter, he has won every assembly poll from Motihari Sadar seat. The BJP has fielded him again from Motihari Sadar seat. He is seeking people’s support for his re-election, but the people want him to give the account of works done by him due to which the minister had to face embarrassing moments.
A few days back, Bihar CM Nitish Kumar lost his cool in his rally when a group of mob started chanting pro-Lalu slogans. The minister asked the mob to not make 'halla', adding that if they do not want to vote, they can choose to do so.
Elections for the 243 assembly seats in Bihar will be held in three phases, the first phase for 71 seats on October 28, the second phase for 94 seats on November 3, and the third phase for the remaining 78 will be on November 7. The results will be announced on November 10.
