New Delhi: Amid increasing menace of Nilgais or Indian antelopes, which are causing extensive damage to standing crops in Bihar's Begusari district, BJP Rajya Sabha member Rakesh Sinha wrote a letter to the state's Deputy Chief Minister to solve the issue.
Speaking to ETV Bharat, Sinha said that he has written to the Deputy CM Tarkishore Prasad and the forest department is under him.
"The officials of the concerned districts should coordinate with the forest department to find a solution to this without causing any harm to nilgais. It should be our goal to keep the farmers' crop safe," he added.
He further said that during his recent visit to Begusari, a number of farmers came to him asking him to take some action to overcome this menace.
"I request the state government to resolve the farmers' problem as soon as possible as we do not want them to suffer," he added.
