Bill Gates meets MoS Hardeep Puri; discusses access to 'safe sanitation'

Bill Gates, Co-founder of Microsoft, on Monday met MoS Hardeep Singh Puri to discuss access to 'safe sanitation' at urban areas and strengthen public health. They also discussed ways to improve environmental outcomes in urban centres.

New Delhi: Microsoft co-founder, Bill Gates met MoS Hardeep Singh Puri at the latter's residence on Monday morning to discuss the availability of safe sanitation as a critical intervention to bolster public health and environment outcomes for Indian urban centres.

The duo also held discussions over areas of cooperation continuing from the year 2020 to 2030 and the efforts required to provide sustainable sanitation services to all, however, it will be more urban-centric.

Earlier on Sunday, Bill Gates met Bihar CM Nitish Kumar in Patna and reiterated their commitment towards the state.

Gates committed to continuing the partnership to find a solution to Bihar's critical health system and contribute towards its development goals.
