Bihar Floods: Big Boss fame Deepak Thakur house inundated

House of famed Big Boss contestant Deepak Thakur has flooded due to heavy floods in Bihar. Thakur took it to social media and shared a video of his inundated house, requesting the govt officials to provide him assistance.

Muzaffarpur: Heavy floods and coronavirus scare in Bihar have left the state marooned. Videos and pictures of houses inundated and people wading through waterlogged areas have surfaced on the internet. Big Boss fame Deepak Thakur is also facing the brunt of the flood as his residence has submerged.

Deepak Thakur, who was a contestant of Big Boss 12, took it to social media to inform that his house in Muzaffarpur's Bochaha block was flooded due to heavy rains. Muzaffarpur has been badly hit due to the floods and water level of River Gandak is continuously rising, adding to the woes of the people.

Taking it to social media platform Instagram, Deepak shared a video in which his house has inundated. In a video message, Thakur also explained that people have to face a lot of difficulties and they are taking shelter on roads.

He went on to add, "The drainage system was planned and carried out properly but still water has entered inside my house. River Gandak is over-flowing and people are facing a lot of issues."

At present, Deepak and his parents are staying in the city and have appealed to the government authorities and local residents for help. Deepak is also a famed Indian singer and Youtuber. He got his first break with the song 'Humni Ke Chhodi ke' and from the movie 'Gangs of Wasseypur Part 1.

Flood situation remained grim in Bihar where swollen rivers originating in Nepal and flowing through the states northern districts have affected more than 45 lakh people so far, the disaster management department said on Friday.

No loss of life was reported on account of floods in the last 24 hours, causing the death toll to remain stable at 11, though the number of people troubled by the calamity grew by more than half a million during the period, according to the bulletin issued by the department.

The number of distressed people, across 1012 panchayats of 14 districts, has reached 45.39 lakh, compared with the previous days figure of 39.63 lakh, said the department.

The state's response to floods has triggered wordy duel between rival parties, keeping in view the approaching assembly election.
