Jamui: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and BJP's star campaigner Yogi Adityanath has kicked start the poll campaign in Bihar. Addressing the rally in Jamui, CM Yogi invoked the terrorism in Pakistan, abrogation of article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir and the construction of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.

Yogi was canvassing for the BJP candidate Shreyasi Singh who is contesting from Jamui seat. While Yogi was addressing the rally, 'Jai Shree Ram' slogans were chanted from the crowd.

He said, "Bihar is Goddess Sita's parental home. UP treats Bihar well as it is our responsibility."

Highlighting the achievements of PM Modi, Yogi said, "All this has been achieved under PM Modi's regime. With the abrogation of article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir, Rahul Gandhi and Asaduddin Owaisi had problems. Fear has been instilled in Pakistan and it is afraid that soldiers can carry out a surgical strike. Pak is scared of India."

Yogi Adityanath also came down heavily on the opposition parties and said, "BJP talks of development but they talk about caste. We talk about everyone's development in the country but the opposition has talked about whether a particular religion has right over the country's resources or not. Their mentality is inclined towards the country's disintegration. BJP has the vision of 'Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat."

He further said, "How can people expect that party to give jobs who was involved in fodder scam? If Congress and RJD would have thought about the country's welfare, every poor house would have got a house, LPJ cylinders and health insurance schemes. These parties think about scams, not development."

Yogi made an emotional appeal to voters, reminding them of her late father Digvijay Singh, a former Union minister who is held in high esteem by the Rajputs of the area.

He added, "The Congress-RJD combines poll pact with ultra-Left CPI(ML) in Bihar is deplorable and unfortunate as it can lead to a resurgence of Naxalism in the state which has reeled under Maoist violence for long.

Lavishing praises on PM Modi and BJP govt, the saffron party leader said, "PM Modi gave ration to the poor people at the time of corona. Would it have been possible under the RJD government? Modi govt old age pension, farmers money and poor welfare schemes. Garib Kalyan Yojana was also launched in Bihar to boost the employment opportunities. In an attempt to provide job opportunities amid the COVID-19 period, the Central and State started employment generation programs on a large scale. Every poor people in the country is employed today."

The 243-member Bihar Assembly will go to the polls in three phases -- on October 28, November 3 and 7 -- and the results will be announced on November 10.
