Bengaluru: The sudden outbreak of COVID-19 has left the world appalled putting a halt to all the daily activities. From dairy, fruits, vegetables to groceries, mobile phones and electronics everything aren't sterile. The innovative product was endorsed by Deputy Chief Minister of Karnataka Dr C N Ashwat Narayan

Amid the coronavirus-induced lockdown, companies across the globe are making attempts to develop possible solutions to deal with the current crisis.

At a time when there is a huge demand for sanitizers, a Bengaluru start-up firm Biofi has developed a sanitization box that can sterilize 72 types of virus up to 99.99%. The price of the sanitising machine has been kept at Rs 13,000.

This sanitization box can make the essential commodities free of virus within seconds. It is very useful and will play a key role in containing the spread of the virus," said Ravi Kumar, managing director, Biofi.

He went on to add, "The machine uses ultraviolet rays to kill the virus and it is very effective. The machine is available in three different sizes and can be used at homes, spas and hospitals."

However, with the outbreak of the coronavirus outbreak the demand of sanitizers has gone up and e-commerce companies have placed orders worth Rs 50,000.

"At this hour of crisis, e-commerce companies have placed orders with us worth Rs 50,000. We will reduce the price of the machine to make it affordable to the customers," MD added.

It is expected that the prize of the machine may go down upto Rs 3,000. Endorsing the product, Narayan said, "This would play a key role in containing the spread of the virus."
