Kolkata: The West Bengal government on Tuesday issued guidelines for air travel as domestic flight services resume in the state on May 28.
All passengers will have to submit self-declaration forms on arrival in Bengal and monitor their health for 14 days, the Mamata Banerjee-led government stated in guidelines for domestic air travel.
Here are the rules for those taking a flight to Bengal:
1. All passengers will have to undergo a health screening at their departure airport. Only those asymptomatic will be aloowed to board a plane.
. On arrival in Bengal, a health screening will be done again. Asymptomatic passengers will be allowed to go to their destinations with the advice of self-monitor their health for 14 days. In case they develop any symptom, they are required to inform local medical officer or state call centre.
3. Those incoming passengers showing symptoms will be taken to health facilities where their samples will be collected for testing.
4. Those with moderate or severe symptoms will be admitted to a dedicated COVID-19 facility. Those with mild symptoms will be either placed in institutional quarantine or advised to home quarantine for 14 days.
5. All will have submit a self-declaration form stating that they had not tested positive for COVID-19 in the past two months.
6. Regular sanitisation will be done at airports and there should be adequate availability of soaps and sanitisers at the airport
Domestic air travel resumed in India on Monday after two months even as a number of states were unenthusiastic about opening up their airports in view of rising Covid-19 cases causing around 630 flights to be cancelled.
