APSPDCL purchases electric shock proof suit worth Rs five lakh

In a bid to avoid instances of injuries or deaths caused due to electrocution among the workers engaged in repair works on electric poles, the Andhra Pradesh Southern Power Distribution Company Limited (APSPDCL) purchased an electric shock proof suit worth Rs. five lakh along with a ladder costing around Rs. 30 lakh.

Kurnool (Andhra Pradesh): The Andhra Pradesh Southern Power Distribution Company Limited (APSPDCL) purchased an electric shock proof suit worth Rs. five lakh to avoid instances of injuries or deaths caused due to electrocution among the workers engaged in repair works on electric poles.

The purchase was prompted by a need to fix a high voltage electric wire at Alagadda power substation in Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh.

Apart from the suit, that was bought from a foreign country, a ladder worth Rs. 30 lakh was also purchased by the department.

ELECTRICITY DEPARTMENT BOUGHT A 5 LAKH WORTH ROBE THAT DOES NOT CATCH ELECRTICITY TO FIX THE ISSUES IN ALAGADDA POWER SUBSTATION ,KURNOOL DISTRICT. These clothes were bought from foreign specially designed for fixing high voltage electicity wires.

THE wire that carries 132,000 kilo watt that transports electricity to the the substation had to be fixed. Without stopping electricity supply the department wanted to repair the wire so as to avoid loss in lakhs of rupees. 5 lakh worth robe and 30 lakh worth ladder were bought from other countires using bare hand technique.

The department expressed their joy as they are able to avoid losses and able to fix the wire issues.
