Andhra boy enters record book for memory skills

Six-year-old Shreyansh has brought laurels to his state Andhra Pradesh for getting his name secured in India Book of Records. Shreyansh can remember names of 200 countries, capital cities and their respective flags.

Nellore: A six-year-old child from Andhra Pradesh has proved that 'age is not a number'. Shreyansh Bhardwaj, who lives in Nellore, has secured his name in 'India Book of Records' for his sharp memory skills.

At this tender age, Shreyansh can easily spell the names of countries, capital cities and their respective flags. Having tremendous knowledge of world map, Shreyansh has shown to the world that not everything is child's play. Shreyansh has brought laurels to the state and has received accolades at such a young age, making his parents proud.

Son of city-based doctors Mahesh and Bhargavi, the boy has also added a certificate of appreciation to his kitty. His parents told ETV Bharat that Shreyansh utilised the lockdown period in the best manner and learnt the names of all the countries.

"We brought him a world map, different charts and toys during the lockdown period to help him boost his knowledge. We are also surprised that in a short span of five months, he has learnt everything. When we recognised his unique ability and sharp memory skills, we contacted India Book of records," his parents said.

Expressing happiness that their child's talent has been recognised, "As anticipated, Shreyansh proved his mettle and won the medal for his skill. In addition to education, he also shows interest in games, chess and music instruments which boosts his mental strength."
