New Delhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah has called for an all-party meeting to review the management for Covid-19 in New Delhi.
The meeting will be held at 11 am on Monday at the Home Ministry.
As per the available information, the meeting will be attended by the leaders of Bharatiya Janta Party, Congress, Aam Admi Party and Bahujan Samaj Party.
Shah held two meetings on Sunday. The first meeting was attended by Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, Deputy CM Manish Sisodia, Delhi Health Minister Satyendra Jain, L-G Anil Baijal, Union Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan, senior officials of the Home Ministry and officials of the State Disaster Management Authority (SDMA).
The second meeting in the evening was attended by Delhi CM, L-G Anil Baijal, Union Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan, the mayors of North Delhi Municipal Corporation (NDMC), South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC), East Delhi Municipal Corporation (EDMC) and other Delhi government and Home Ministry officials.
Anil Kumar Chaudhary, Delhi Congress chief tweeted, "I have received a message from Union home ministry that an all-party meeting has been called for tomorrow over the Covid-19 situation in Delhi and all over the country."
Earlier, the Union Home Ministry ordered the transfer of four IAS officers- two from Andaman and Nicobar Islands and two from Arunachal Pradesh-to the National capital to help the Delhi government in fighting against the coronavirus pandemic.
Notably, the Supreme Court on Saturday stated that Delhi was the only state in the country that had decreased the number of tests daily as compared to all other states. The apex court said that it was 'really pained' seeing the stories of government hospitals in the national capital and how they are treating the Covid-19 patients.
