She Inspires Us
'Each for Equal', theme for International Women's Day 2020, lays emphasis on the gender equal world. Celebrating the women's achievements and increasing visibility is perhaps the key to gender equality. Indian women scientists have made us proud. They are a great source of inspiration.
In the field of Missile Technology,Dr Tessy Thomas is the first woman scientist to head a missile project in India. She is the recipient of many prestigious awards:-

- DRDO Award for Path breaking Research/Outstanding Technology Development-2007

- DRDO Performance Excellence Award for Agni-5 in 2012
- Suman Sharma Award by The Institution of Engineers (India)

Dr. Indira Hinduja
She is M.D., PhD is an Indian gynecologist, obstetrician and infertility specialist. Dr. Hinduja’s research has resulted in several papers published in national and international medical journals. She received Padma Shri award from Government of India in the year 2011.
Ritu Karidhal Srivastava
In the field of Space Science, She is an Indian scientist working with the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). She was a Deputy Operations Director to India's Mars orbital mission, Mangalyaan. She is also an aerospace engineer.
