"If you look now our defence is up to the mark. It is parallel to various developed countries. If not parallel it is touching the lifelines of development" Singh added.

SP Singh on Article 370 and development in Jammu and Kashmir
"Jammu and Kashmir is an integral part of India. Article 370 was a temporary provision and its abrogation was correct. Political parties who were benefiting from those provisions are making hue and cry," Singh said.
"As far as the SC directions on the restrictions are concerned it is also correct as restrictions are meant to be temporary," Singh added.
'CAA: Both ruling and opposition parties should practise restrain for India's development'
"Citizenship Act was passed long back. Nothing new has come in. After the 1971 war, when there was persecution of minorities in Bengal, various leaders had raised the issue of proper law and proper protection, in the parliament," Singh said.
"There should not be any politics in citizenship, granting of citizenship or protection of Indian citizens. I am not going to blame the Opposition as everyone has the right to raise their voice in a democracy, neither am I going to blame the ruling party," Singh added.
"There should be restrain from both the sides for the development of the country," Singh said.
