Noida (Uttar Pradesh): A six-year-old boy was allegedly kidnapped from Sector-24 of Uttar Pradesh's Noida on July 9.
Video footage sourced from a CCTV camera, installed close to the child's home, shows the child being picked up by an unknown man who is followed by a woman.
The child's family had initially filed a missing complaint with the police station on July 10, but after the recovery of the CCTV footage, the police are treating it as a case of kidnapping under section 363 of the Indian Penal Code.
Speaking to ETV Bharat, Piyush Kumar Singh, Circle Officer, Noida, said, "He has been missing since July 9, his family registered a complaint with us on July 10. During our investigation, we found a CCTV footage showing a man and woman taking the child with them. The case is now being treated as that of kidnapping. Both the police and crime branch officials are in search of the child."
