Guwahati: Debabrata Saikia, Congress leader and leader of Opposition in Assam assembly has said that BJP government at the centre were able to implement their agenda, in the first 100 days in office, as they had the backing of a landslide mandate in general elections.
Speaking to ETV Bharat, the Congress leader claimed that Article 370, UAPA bill, Triple talaq and dilution of RTI were all part of BJP's agenda.
"They diluted the Right to Information (RTI) act so that information does not reach the public," Saikia said.
"We are seeing shrinkage rather than growth in every sector," he added.
With Modi's birthday falling on September 17, the BJP has decided that the entire week leading up to the Prime Minister's birthday will be observed as "Seva Saptah."
All 303 BJP MPs have been asked to spell out what they could do in their respective constituencies to contribute to the "Seva Saptah" where these points will be taken to the electorate.
