Guwahati: Kumar Deepak Das, leader of Asom Gana Parishad party in Assam has said that completion of NRC final list and setting up of a committe to safeguard rights of indegenous people before the implementation of Assam Accord as the major achievements of Modi 2.0 after 100 days.
Speaking to ETV Bharat, Deepak Das said, "Government of India and the state government has responded positively to the challenge of implementing NRC."
"Another positive things is setting up of a committee to look into the rights of indegenours people before implementing the Clause 6 of the Assam Accord," he added.
Clause 6 of the Assam Accord relates to constitutional, legislative and administrative safeguards as may be appropriate, shall be provided to protect, preserve, promote the cultural, social, linguistic identity and heritage of Assamese people.
The final NRC list that was published in Assam on August 31 had generated mixed reactions, as more than 19 lakh people were found ineligible.
