New Delhi: Jharkhand BJP Chief and Rajya Sabha member Deepak Prakash on Thursday met Union Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri in New Delhi. Ranchi's mayor Asha Lakra also accompanied Deepak Prakash.
Prakash said that he apprised Puri of alleged financial irregularities in making Ranchi as a smart city. He accused Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren of tampering the traditional infrastructural facilities of the city and exhausting public utilities.
Deepak Prakash said, "I have informed Hardeep Singh Puri of Ranchi's situation. We are not going to tolerate if anybody tampers the infrastructure. Puri ji has assured me of providing all possible help."
The BJP Chief also urged Aviation minister to start a direct flight from Pune to Ranchi as early as possible.
Prakash said that 'Ranchi Smart City' is an ambitious scheme of the Central Government but the state government is making changes in it going against the laws of the Central government.
He said, "The central government has approved the creation of a skill development and convention centre within the Smart City for public welfare, in which the state government is making changes and it is violation of rules."
The leader also took to Twitter to share the details of his meeting with Hardeep Singh Puri.
