Tirupati (Andhra Pradesh): Police in Andhra Pradesh have arrested a man on charges of killing his wife after a burnt body was found near a hospital in Tirupati last week.

Sreekanth Reddy is accused of murdering his wife Bhuvaneshwari over financial and personal disputes.

According to police, Reddy started a Non-Governmental Organization, which he named People against Corruption in Kadapa district. He is said to have cheated people for money and he was a spendthrift. He got indebted and started asking Bhuvaneswari for money. Financial problems led to a tussle between the couple before her death on June 23, police sources said.

Reddy killed her by pressing a pillow against her face and CCTV footage revealed that he brought a red suitcase to his home at 10:30 am and spent three hours in the house, before setting her body on fire, according to police.
