Ayodhya: Union Home Minister Amit Shah who is touring Uttar Pradesh as well as overseeing the election related preparedness, visited Ayodhya and paid obeisance to Lord Ram. Thereafter, Shah inspected the ongoing construction work of Lord Ram temple at Ayodhya. He also enquired about the finer points of the temple construction work.
Then, Union Home Minister Amit Shah addressed a public meeting at the State Inter College ground, in which he spoke about the achievements of BJP government, besides he made a verbal attack on opponents.
This land of Lord Ram had faced several struggles. The birthplace of Lord Ram was ravaged several times and again it stood up. This birthplace of Sri Ram had a long history of struggles, trials and tribulations, said Shah.
This sacred land witnessed several 'destructions', now it is seeing construction. But, ultimately we became victorious, because after 'destruction', the 'construction' has prevailed, Shah added.
Shah speaking further said, post Independence, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel gave a facelift to Somnath Temple, and after the 75 years of Independence the people of this country are fortunate that Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone for the construction of grand temple of Lord Sri Ram at Ayodhya.
Hitting out at the opposition, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said, they (during the rule of Congress, SP and BSP) did everything to stop construction of the Ram Temple at Ayodhya. Kar Sevaks were fired bullets, rained lathis on Kar Sevaks and threw their bodies in Saryu river.
Shah in a veiled attack on Opposition, said that the 'Bua and Babua' government didn't show scant regard to our culture, tradition and symbols of faith. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Yogi Adityanath government in UP did everything to restore the glory of religious symbols and faith. The BJP government in UP has brought back the glorious past of Ayodhya.
An airport is coming up in Ayodhya after the name of Lord Sri Ram. Shah also said, opposition believed in three Ps-'Pakshapaat' (biased approach) , 'Parivarvad' (family rule) and 'Palayan' (escaping), whereas BJP believed in three Vs - Vikas (progress), Viraasat (culture) and Vyapaar (trade).
UP never progressed during Congress, SP and BSP rule. Earlier, mafias were after the police, now mafias are on the run. Earlier, people were fleeing from the state, which has now been stopped, said Shah.
Meanwhile, Income Tax Department is conducting raids at the places of Samajwadi Party's MLC and businessman Pushpraj Jain alias Pammi Jain. They are raiding in Ishwar Nagar area of Delhi. The Income Tax Department team reached the house at 8:00 in the morning on Friday.
