New Delhi: Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday briefed Prime Minister Narendra Modi regarding the steps taken by the government to control the attacks on non-locals in Kashmir.
The meeting comes a day after Shah chaired a security meeting of central intelligence agencies, State DGPs and other senior home ministry officials. The Home Minister also briefed Modi about the fear psychosis that prevails among the migrant labourers who are mainly targeted by terrorist organisations.
Shah has also informed that all the security agencies have been asked to take strict actions against the perpetrators of ongoing violence.
It may be mentioned here that as many as 11 people have been killed by terrorist organizations in the last 18 days

The Prime Minister was also briefed about the developmental initiatives being undertaken by the government in the union territory.
Shah will undertake a three-day visit to Jammu & Kashmir from October 23-25 during which he will chair security meetings with the top officials of the J&K administration, police officials and other central paramilitary forces. This will his first visit to J&K after the abrogation of Article 370.
During his visit, Shah is also likely to make announcements of several developmental projects for the region. Meanwhile, a high alert has been sounded across the union territory on the possibility of such attacks in the region.
