Davanagere (Karnataka): Union Minister Pralhad Joshi is in Karnataka to attend a BJP state executive meeting. During the sidelines of the event, he took a dig at the Congress and said, "Congress party is in a mood to oppose everything,". He further asked, "Had Rahul, Sonia and Priyanka Gandhi given vaccine on such a large scale,?"
On the issue of B S Yediyurappa demitting the Karnataka CM post, the Union Minister responded, "Yediyurappa is our senior leader. He has absolute authority. No one has avoided him in the party. Also, there is no obstacle to his state tour" he said.
Speaking about Amarinder Singh's resignation, he said, "Capt Amarinder Singh is a popular leader. Congress removed him because they were apprehensive that he was growing more popular than Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi. People who're stuck in such a deep mess are questioning us. It's not worth reacting to them".

The minister also added that despite the Covid pandemic hitting every front, the economy is recovering. "We are successful in the fight against Covid. We have a higher rate of vaccine allocation than advanced countries. On the birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, we have given 2.5 crore vaccines in the country. 70% of the first dose and 30% of the second dose have been administered. However, on the day of Modi's birth, the opposition parties criticized the vaccination campaign," he said.
