Devanahalli (Karnataka): Air cargo customs officials have seized more than Rs 6 crore worth of red sandalwood, which was about to be smuggled abroad. These red sandalwoods were parcelled as pipes to Dubai via Kempegowda International Airport in Devanhalli.

When the customs officials grew suspicious about the parcel, they opened it and found red sandalwood worth Rs six crores. Customs officers have seized the pieces of sandalwood in the parcel. It's not known who tried to illegally transport them to Dubai. An investigation is going on.
