Hyderabad: Tahir Qadiry, the Ambassador of Afghanistan to Poland, has written an open letter to the people of Poland. In his letter, Ambassador Tahir Qadiry has expressed gratitude and highlighted the century-old bilateral friendship between the two countries, dating back to 1927. He has appreciated the decision of Poland to evacuate Afghan citizens from Kabul following the Taliban takeover.

"Mothers are pleading the international community to evacuate their children; aspiring young men and women are clinging on to aircrafts with hope and the older generation are falling in despair. Afghans are forced to escape their homes. Everything they achieved in the last 20 years is lost in the chaos following the Taliban takeover," Qadiry said.

His letter also praised the Polish government's decision to evacuate Afghan nationals from Kabul, including men and women. He highlighted that the martyrdom of 44 Polish soldiers in various peacekeeping missions in Afghanistan and expressed his deepest gratitude to Poland.
"The letter also mentioned that the Afghans and Polish people have an element of resistance in our DNA and will never bow down to tyranny." He finished his letter expressing his deepest gratitude to Poles and Poland for their help.
