Chikkaballapur (Karnataka): Seven people died and five sustained serious injuries after the jeep they were travelling collided with a truck near Karnataka's Chikkaballapur on Sunday. All the passengers are from the Rayalpadu village of Srinivasapur taluk.
The vehicle was going from Rayalpadu village to Chintamani and when they neared Madikere cross in Andhra Pradesh - Bengaluru highway, the jeep collided with a truck. Six died on the spot while another succumbed on the way to the hospital. Five seriously injured passengers were admitted to the hospital for treatment.
Chintamani Rural Police have filed a case and investigating further in this regard.
