Baramulla (Jammu & Kashmir): Two Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) militants were killed in an encounter at Warpora village of Sopore in Baramulla district, the Kashmir Zone Police said on Friday. Incriminating materials, including arms and ammunition, were recovered from them, police said.
One of the neutralised militant is Fayaz War. He was involved in several attacks and killings of civilians and security personnel, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kashmir, Vijay Kumar said.

The two militants were trapped at a house in Warpora village. Based on specific inputs, the police cordoned off the area and launched an operation. As the joint team approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon the forces triggering an encounter.
To maintain law and order situation, internet services across Sopore town, have been suspended.
