Incheon: South Korea on Wednesday handed over coffins containing the remains of 10 Chinese soldiers who were killed in the 1950-1953 Korean War.
The coffins were handed over to a Chinese military team in a repatriation ceremony at Incheon Airport.
Officials from both the South Korean and Chinese governments attended the repatriation ceremony.

A total of 589 remains of Chinese volunteer soldiers killed in that war has been transferred by South Korea in a span of five years.
In October 1950, Chinese troops under the name of the Chinese People's Volunteer Army (CPV) assisted North Korean armies, and engaged in the Korean War (1950-1953) to resist the United States and to aid North Korea.
