Christchurch: New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern on Friday met her Australian counterpart Scott Morrison in Christchurch following the city's National Remembrance Service for the victims of the mosques shooting.
Morrison had earlier attended the service to commemorate the 49people who died in the attack on two mosques two weeks earlier.
He praised Ardern and New Zealanders for the way they responded to the incident.
"Today, New Zealand has responded to hate with love. They've responded to violence with peace. And I think that is a very, very powerful message", Morrison told reporters after the service.
