No gunman found at hospital, confirm NY police

No evidence of gunman was found at the NewYork-Presbyterian Lawrence Hospital in Bronxville after the police officers responded to the reports that a man had been seen with a shotgun inside the facility.

Bronxville: Authorities in New York confirmed that no shots were fired at a hospital north of Manhattan, following a large police response on Sunday evening.

Emergency services were called to NewYork-Presbyterian Lawrence Hospital in Bronxville after receiving reports that a man had been seen with a shotgun inside the facility.

"Two patients on the sixth floor of the hospital reported to the nurse's station that they saw an individual carrying a shotgun," Christopher Satriale, Police Chief of Bronxville said.

A primary search by police officers failed to find any weapon, suspect or injuries.

Satriale said that they are questioning the two patients who made the initial report.

"We have no indication that they reported this in a malicious way," Satriale said.
