Washington DC: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has arrived at the White House to meet US President Joe Biden for first the in-person bilateral meeting.
White House Acting Chief of Protocol greeted the Prime Minister at the West Wing door on his arrival.
Modi and President Biden's hour-long meeting will take place at the Oval Office.
Ahead of his first meeting with the head of the Indian state, Biden took to Twitter and said he was looking forward-host Modi at the White House.
"This morning I’m hosting Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the White House for a bilateral meeting. I look forward to strengthening the deep ties between our two nations, working to uphold a free and open Indo-Pacific, and tackling everything from COVID-19 to climate change," the POTUS tweeted.
