Port Angeles: A rescue crew cut a fishing net that had entangled a gray whale on Friday.
The whale was in the Strait of San Juan de Fuca near Port Angeles, Washington, northwest of Seattle.
The Washington Department of Natural Resources tweeted that some of their employees spotted the whale Friday morning.
They said the whale was freed with the help of other government agencies.
Helicopter video shows a crew in a small red boat cutting the a line to free the large whale.
