New Delhi: A meeting, headed by KC Venugopal was held on Saturday at Congress headquarters, Delhi, to discuss the internal battle of the party which is going on from the last two years.
According to the report, the Congress party in Jharkhand is struggling with internal strife, many leaders are demanding the removal of party-state President Ajay Kumar.
The meeting was attended by many Congress leaders including State Chairperson, State in-charge and National Association General Secretary of the Congress KC Venugopal.
After the meeting, the leader of Congress Legislature Party in Jharkhand, Alamgir Alam, said that whatever the leaders had problems, has put in front of KC Venugopal, and has assured that the problems will be short out soon.
"KC also advised the leaders not to make any controversial statement in the media against party leaders or the party policy," said Alamgir.
"When asked about whether Ajay Kumar will continue as state party president or will be removed, he clarified that he has no idea about whether the Assembly election will be contested under the leadership of Ajay Kumar or not. The party head has to decide whom to appoint and whom to fire," added Alamgir.
