West Bengal: Sujata Mondal, a TMC candidate raked up a political storm in the state for comparing Dalits to beggars. Now, the BJP has launched an aggressive campaign in the state against the TMC on the issue. The matter was also taken to the Election Commission by the BJP on Sunday, in addition, a request was made on Monday to the National Dalit Commission to take action against the TMC for the disparaging remarks.

The BJP delegation headed by the former President of the Dalit Commission and the National General Secretary of the BJP Dushyant Gautam met the Chairman of the Dalit Commission and demanded action and arrest in this regard at the earliest.

Dushyant Gautam addressing a presser at the BJP office condemned the TMC candidate's remarks saying it is deeply insulting.
The BJP national General Secretary said that the Dalits are going ahead with development and they know it can take place only under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi and the BJP.

He said that PM's public welfare schemes are being implemented under 'Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas' irrespective of caste, religion and language, and that the TMC is making such statements because they know they are about to lose.
The BJP leader also questioned the TMC as to why nothing was done for the Scheduled Castes in the last 10 years.
