Bengaluru: As the whole nation is locked down to fight against coronavirus outbreak, online food delivery platforms like Swiggy and Zomato opted for contactless delivery to serve food orders.
How contact less delivery works?
As coronavirus is spreading through contact, Swiggy and Zomato takes order from app and gives an option for contactless delivery for free of cost.
Once the order is received, restaurant will prepare food and give it to delivery agents.
These delivery agents will arrive at the location and will places the food package at a clean area. After which the agent will click a photo which will be sent through the app.

This is to ensure that no contact or touch is made while the food delivery.
However, this option does not apply on cash on deliveries (COD).
Is it safe?
This shall remain a tricky question, because even though agents will be wearing masks and gloves however no one knows who prepared the food and what happened in the restaurant.
