Business Desk, ETV Bharat: Ahead of the Hindu festive season, auto makers in India have launched special discounts on passenger cars across segments to prop up sales and boost demand in an otherwise muted scenario.
Car dealers across the country are offering benefits on most models that involve cash discounts, exchange bonus, corporate discount along with other special schemes. However, the extent of benefit may vary from location to location.
Here’s a look at the benefits being offered by major car companies:
Maruti Suzuki
India’s largest carmaker Maruti Suzuki has rolled out Diwali-special offers on select Arena and NEXA models including the Wagon R, Swift, Brezza, Baleno, Ciaz and S-Cross. Discounts on the Arena models will be effective until 16 October, whereas the NEXA models are on offer until 20 October.
The pre-facelift Dzire and S-Cross get a price concession of up to Rs 55,000. Followed by the Celerio which offers discounts up to Rs 53,000.
Premium hatchback Baleno gets benefits of up to Rs 42,000, while total benefit on Ignis amounts to Rs 59,200. The Ciaz, too, receives discounts of up to Rs 59,200, while S-Cross is available with benefits amounting to Rs 62,200.
The Celerio and S-Presso are available with benefits of up to 53,000, while the Alto can be availed with discounts of up to Rs 41,000. The Wagon R and Swift are meanwhile available with benefits of up to Rs 40,000.
Hyundai Motor Company
Hyundai is offering benefits up to Rs 1 lakh on its models except Venue, Verna, Creta, Tucson, and Kona EV. The company is also offering flexible finance scheme and special offers for medical professionals, chartered accountants, SMEs, teachers and select corporates.
Models receiving festive benefits include the Santro, Grand i10, Grand i10 Nios, Elite i20, Aura and the Elantra sedan. The offer is valid on purchases made between 1 October and 31 October.
The Santro is available with benefits of up to Rs 45,000 depending on the variant, while Grand i10 BS 6 may get a discount of up to Rs 60,000.
The Grand i10 Nios BS 6 gets benefit of up to Rs 25,000, while Elite I20 Sportz enjoys discounts worth up to Rs 75,000. The Aura gets benefit up to Rs 30,000, while Elantra comes with benefits of up to Rs 1 lakh (depending on petrol or diesel variant).

Tata Motors
The Tata Harrier Dark edition can be availed with an exchange bonus of Rs 40,000 and a corporate discount of Rs 15,000. All other variants of the model are offered with a cash discount of Rs 25,000. The Tiago is available with benefits up to Rs 30,000.
Discounts on all variants of the Tata Nexon are limited to a corporate discount of Rs 5,000 while the diesel variants are available with an additional exchange bonus of Rs 15,000.
The Tigor can be availed with benefits of up to Rs 40,000, while the Altroz comes with corporate discount of up to Rs 10,000.
Mahindra and Mahindra
Mahindra is offering benefits and discounts on all models except the recently launched second-gen Thar. The offers are valid until 31 October.
Mahindra Alturas G4 can be availed with benefits worth a whopping Rs 3.06 lakh. The XUV500 gets benefits of up to Rs 56,000 depending on the variant. Meanwhile, the XUV300 can be availed with benefits of up to Rs 30,000.
The Mahindra Marazzo is available with benefits of up to Rs 31,000, and accessories worth Rs 5,000. The Bolero is offered with benefits of up to Rs 20,500.
Toyota Kirloskar Motor
Toyota dealerships are also offering discounts on some of its models. The Glaza BS6 V Model is coming with benefits of up to Rs 30,000. However, no offers have been declared on Glanza G Model.
Toyota Yaris BS6 is up for sale with benefits of up to Rs 60,000, while the Innova Crysta is available with Rs 65,000 benefits.
Notably, there has been no official scheme on the Fortuner BS6 and the all-new Urban Cruiser.
Besides that, Toyota announced special offers for salaried customers, with benefits for employees of both government as well as private organisations. It said that salaried customers can combine the special Toyota festive offers with the ‘Special Cash Package’ recently announced by the Ministry of Finance to lower the initial burden of purchase.
In the case of government employees, the Special Festival Advance announced by the government will help them avail interest-free advance of Rs 10,000. Customers may use this amount to make the booking payments for a range of vehicles including the new Toyota Urban Cruiser and other B-segment models like Toyota Glanza and Toyota Yaris.
There are also a number of easy finance options, some with flexible EMI structures, which are over and above the previously mentioned schemes.
