New Delhi: Various state Governors on Tuesday met Home Minister Amit Shah at North Block and discussed on multiple issues concerning their official states.
Governors present at the meeting were Rajasthan's Kalyan Singh, Gujarat's Om Prakash Kohli, Karnataka's Vajubhai Gala, Uttarakhand's Baby Rani Maurya, Himachal Pradesh's Acharya Devvrat and Arunachal Pradesh's Dr. BD Mishra.
According to the home ministry official, the meeting was described as a "courtesy visit" on Home Minister calls, but the sources tell that all the state Governors have discussed issues of their respective states.
Governors of Arunachal Pradesh and Gujarat discussed the law and order situation of the state and the emerging threat from cyclone "Vayu" respectively.
Whereas the Governors of Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Karnataka, and Rajasthan talked on the overall situation of the state.
A few Governors including Governor of Tamil Nadu Banwarilal Purohit on Monday called on Shah at North Block and discussed issues concerning to their states.
