Bareilly: After 33 children, who were being trafficked, were rescued from the Howrah-Mumbai Mail on Thursday in Chhattisgarh, the GRP deboarded 170 children from Malda-Anandvihar weekly train at Bareilly Junction of Uttar Pradesh on Friday as a precautionary measure.
The GRP was informed that more than two coaches of the train were occupied only by children. Smelling something fishy, police raided the coaches and deboarded the children from the train.
All the children hail from Jharkhand and Bihar. After the kids and their guardians were interrogated, it came to fore that they were students of a madarssa who were heading back to the institute after spending their holiday at their native place.
Police are looking into the matter as a precautionary measure.
