New Delhi: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's two-day Delhi visit has stirred the political corridors amid speculations that he has a grand plan for the state to retain power in the upcoming 2022 Assembly polls. During his visit to the national capital, Yogi met Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and party president JP Nadda.
In an exclusive interaction with ETV Bharat, senior journalist and political analyst Yogesh Mishra said that the UP government is under crisis and the people are unhappy with its functioning. Radical changes are needed to address the issues before the upcoming state polls, he added.

According to Mishra, the top leaders discussed various aspects leading to the current conflict in the party in Uttar Pradesh and poor coordination among leaders. During the meeting the top leaders also discussed compensation for the loss caused by the farmers' protest, Covid mismanagement in UP, and enhancement of development work in Purvanchal, he added.
Sources claimed that the visit will soon lead to decentralization of power in UP. After Yogi's interaction with Apna Dal leader Anupriya Patel, BJP's new member Jatin Prasada and former advisor to Prime Minister AK Sharma, there are also speculations over cabinet expansion in the state government. "BJP needs to bring backward castes together to maintain stability in UP. There have been claims of anti-incumbency in the state," Mishra said.
