New Delhi: Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi on Sunday sought to know from the Central government whether the Central Vista project was more important than the health of the Indian citizens.
In a video posted on Twitter, Gandhi asked the logic behind categorising the Central Vista project under the Essential Services list, with people working day and night in order to complete it by 2023, when chaos, fear and uncertainty had loomed large over the country. "Is that more important that the people," she asked.

According to Gandhi, the government why has reduced ICU beds by 46 per cent, ventilator beds by 28 per cent and oxygen beds by 36 per cent between September 2020 and January 2021.
"Every expert had warned (the government) that there is going to be a second wave," she said, adding the government consistently ignored all the advice.
"When they (the BJP) came to power, they cut the health budget by 20 per cent. They promised AIIMS in all states. They promised an upgrade of district health facilities. But, nothing happened," she said.
