New Delhi: Union Minister Anurag Thakur on Thursday announced that a Central University will be established in the union territory of Ladakh. The Union Cabinet has approved that the university will be established at an estimated cost of Rs 750 crore, he said.
The Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs informed that the Central University will have its jurisdiction in the entire area of Union Territory of Ladakh including Leh and Kargil. Anurag Thakur also announced that the Union Cabinet has approved the establishment of Ladakh Integrated Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (LIIDCO) in the union territory of Ladakh.
"The LIIDCO will promote local business and artisan and will help in the development of infrastructure in the union territory," he added.
