Rare stone library in Raichur gold mine

Raichur: A gold mine in Karnataka is home to the only stone library in the country, and the rocks here tell the history. Hatti Gold Mines Company is the only gold mine in the country, located in Hatti village of Lingasugur Taluk in Raichur district. The mine is a boon for researchers who are researching stones in the mine. A stone core library has been set up in the backside of the gold mine office on half an acre. The library contains a collection of ore excavated stones. Wherever ore is researched, specimens of drilling stone from the site are collected and placed on a location-by-year basis.
