Ajmer: In a proud occasion for India, Air Force Flight Lieutenant Swati Rathore will be leading the flypast at the Republic Day parade at Rajpath. It will be for the first time a female pilot is given the responsibility of leading the prestigious air display.
Hailing from Rajasthan's Prempura village, Rathore studied at Mayur School in Ajmer and completed her higher education at ICG College, Jaipur.
Currently, Rathore has been posted in Ajmer and was earlier given the responsibility to head the flypast on the Air Force Day.
Rathore had airlifted thousands of people to a safer place during Kerala floods showing their efficiency.
Swati's father Dr. Bhavani Singh is the Deputy Director in the Department of Agriculture.

According to the information, a flight formation consisting of 5 aircraft will fly over Rajpath under the leadership of Rathore with a message of women power and empowerment.
Apart from this, tableaux from the Air Force will include Sukhai-30, helicopters and light combat aircraft on display.
