New Delhi: Union Minister of Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal launched the 'E Senta' app Tuesday. This app will help fish farmers in getting better prices. The app will help will eliminate middlemen and help fisheries will connect farmers and buyers directly to each other.
He said that the app has been launched with an aim to increase the income of fisheries farmers. It will provide a cashless and paperless electronic trade platform between farmers and exporters. This will revolutionize traditional aqua farming.
This app will help farmers to become self-reliant. The app has been developed by the Marine Products Export Development Authority.

"Farmers will get an additional option to sell their produce. Farmers will be able to sell their products easily. Let me tell you, this app is a kind of e-commerce portal, said Goyal adding that this app can become a medium to bring fishermen and fisheries organizations together.
An auction platform can also be formed in the future. According to the information, at present, there are 18000 farmers who are contributing to the export of seafood products of the country.
