Srinagar: Restrictions remained in force in Kashmir valley on the third day after the death of senior separatist leader Syed Ali Geelani. Police and paramilitary forces personnel deployment continues at sensitive places in Kashmir and restrictions on assembly of people are in place.
Public and private transport resumed partially on Saturday. Police officials said that the movement of people has been eased out in most places in Kashmir but the curbs are in place in Srinagar's Downtown (old city) and Hyderpora, the native area of Geelani.

Roads leading to Geelani's residence here remained sealed with barricades put up to stop the movement of people and Geelani's graveyard too remained under the surveillance of the police.
Mobile phone services were restored on Friday night after remaining suspended for two days, however, the mobile internet services remain shut for the third consecutive day.
The veteran separatist leader, Geelani, 92, died at his home in Srinagar on Wednesday night after a prolonged illness and a decade of house arrest. He was buried at a graveyard near his residence. His family said they were not allowed to attend his burial.
