Hyderabad: Everyone knows the competition between Swiggy and Zomato in the domestic food delivery market. Even if other companies enter the segment, they are unable to challenge their monopoly. These two companies are impressing users with their offers. But now, Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC), the government e-Commerce platform, is challenging Swiggy and Zomato as it is offering food for a lower price.

Many users are taking screenshots and posting that they are getting food at a lower price on this government e-Commerce platform. Social media has been buzzing with this for the past few days. In this order, the number of daily deliveries in the food sector also reached the milestone of 10,000.

The government launched ONDC to check the monopoly in the e-commerce sector. Anyone can sell products on this platform regardless of third-party apps. Consumers can also buy. It is currently available in more than 240 cities, including Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Delhi on an experimental basis.

It entered the food sector as part of this. Due to social media, it has gained tremendous popularity in the last few days. Generally, there is a difference between the prices of food items when going directly to restaurants and hotels and the prices of food delivery apps. Delivery charges will be extra. In this order, some users are posting screenshots comparing the prices of food available on Swiggy and Zomato with the prices of food items available on the Open Network for Digital Commerce platform.

How to order?

ONDC does not have any special app like Swiggy and Zomato. If we want something we have to go to buyer apps and buy it. Apps like Paytm, MyStore, Pincode and Spice Money are currently acting as buyer apps. For instance, go to the Paytm app and search for ONDC... you can order the food of your choice in the food section. However, since ONDC is new, it may not be available in all restaurants. These services are likely to be expanded in the future.
