New Delhi /Ghaziabad: Terming the Kisan Mahapanchayat held at Muzaffarnagar Sunday a success, farmer leader and national spokesperson of the Bharatiya Kisan Union Rakesh Tikait has said that whatever decision is taken by the organisers Samyukt Kisan Morcha regarding the future strategy of the ongoing farmers' agitation demanding withdrawal of the three controversial agriculture bills will be followed by all.
“Whatever decision the Samyukt Kisan Morcha takes regarding the future of the farmers' movement will be followed,” Tikait, who has returned to the Ghazipur border on the outskirts of Delhi after the Mahapanchayat, said.
“Information regarding Mahapanchayats to be held in different parts of the country in the coming times will be shared soon,” he said.

Tikait has vowed not to return home till the government withdraws the three controversial agriculture bills. He has been living on the Ghazipur border since the beginning of the farmers' agitation, now nearly 10 months old, and has been traveling all across the country to generate support for the cause.
Though he left Ghazipur for Muzaffarnagar Sunday to participate in the Mahapanchayat, Tikait did not go to his home there. After returning to Ghazipur, he thanked farmers all across the country for making the Mahapanchayat a success.
People in Muzaffarnagar, who are not from rural background, also opened the doors of their homes to farmers coming from all over the country to attend the Mahapanchayat. Street vendors and rickshaw-pullers of the city also served the farmers with an open heart.
Tikait has said that the farmers have won a big victory in Muzaffarnagar Sunday.
“About 20 lakh people participated in the Mahapanchayat,” he said. “That means, 20 lakh families of the country are connected to the panchayat.”
