Chikkamagaluru: Karnataka lawmaker Suresh is facing criticism for helping a health worker involved in an accident in Tarikera.
Health inspector Ramesh died after he was hit by an unidentified vehicle at Lakavalli Cross. Reports said the lawmaker was at the scene but did not help the dying man.

An ambulance was called but it arrived only after 30 minutes. The injured health worker died of his injuries by the time he reached a hospital in Shivamogga.

The lawmaker's personal assistant said the MLA could not help because he had recovered from Covid-19 only some days ago and he had some discomfort in his eye as well. He also said that his security guard and driver did provide first aid to the health inspector.
