Bengaluru: A day before results of the Karnataka assembly elections are announced, chief minister Basavaraj Bommai on Friday claimed that the saffron party will form the government with absolute majority and said that he has informed the party leadership about the ground level situation.

Even as the exit polls have predicted Congress ahead BJP in the Karnataka Assembly elections, Bommai said: ''Our stand is the same. We will get absolute majority. We will definitely reach the magic number. I myself called the high command leaders and told them about the situation in Karnataka. No matter what the exit poll results are but we are confident of winning. The high command leaders are also confident that the BJP will form the government again,'' Bommai said while responding to reporters at his Bengaluru's RT Nagar residence.

''I have been reiterating that we will bag absolute majority. We have collected ground level information from all the constituencies and booths. The Congress won't get majority and so are talking with other parties,'' he said adding that the Congress has the right to hold as many meetings they want. "All parties will hold meetings but it is the BJP that will form the government,'' Bommai said.
