Hyderabad: A single-day rise of 42,625 new infections, 562 fatalities push India's COVID-19 tally of cases to 3,17,69,132, death toll to 4,25,757, as per the data updated by the Union Health and Family Welfare Ministry at 8 am on Wednesday. India's active cases stand at 4,10,353. The number of people who have recuperated from the disease surged to 3,09,33,022.
Till now, India has administered 48,52,86,570 vaccine doses including 62,53,741 doses administered in the last 24 hours, the Ministry said. According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), a total of 47,31,42,307 samples have been tested up to August 3. Of this, 18,47,518 samples were tested on Tuesday.
